Hi i really need some advice as i am unsure of this,I bought a Screaming Eagle Pro Efi Tuner for my bike,as i had new mufflers and breather fitted.

Now my question is = Do they actually fit this device to the bike or give it back to you in your hand for next time ??? I also didn't get my cd back either???

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Cheers

Hi Alan, many thanks for the info and you were correct. I had to go and collect my cd and tuner from the dealer on monday after reading what you wrote. The same happened to me where my cd was unopened, so unsure why we have to buy them?

Thing was if i hadnt of thought about it,would of they given me goods back???

Anyway my bike is a lot better and sounds better also.

    Again many thanks Alan.

MMM Dealers least they could is kiss ya before they screw ya. Picking up new fat bob tomorrow and will be going for fuel shot has the best results. not sure on pipes or air filter any thoughts?

    Hi Rich ,

If you want to take this further, buy a SERT cable so you can tune the bike yourself or at least check which map they have loaded for you. Once you have the software installed, the process of hooking this up to your bike is fairly simple.
The dongle that dealer didn't initially give you is useless to them. When you plug your SERT in for the first time, the dongle is 'locked" to your bike ID and can't be used by anyone else. I've recently helped a mate load up few maps to match his new exhaust system and has absolutely no problems doing so. His bike is running great.

    Cheers

Hey Guys, thanks again for the thoughts and advice, sorry about delay in replying as been aways, really the bike is humming along pretty good now,so i don't want to touch it if you get my drift.
I know some people don't like certain EFI tuners, but i have to admit i cannot fault my setup with the se mufflers,as it sounds good and goes good.
I thought of getting V&H pipes, but spoke with a couple of boys whom had been hassled by the boys in blue and whom defected their bikes, must be a noise thing or a bad day for the boys in blue, well it was bad day for the guys whom got the defect stickers.

So Tc i cannot say about other pipes and stuff, but i am pretty happy with the Screaming Weagle stuff,as it makes it sound like a Harley should, but pricing is a bit rich for the ECU,the mufflers were reasonably priced and so was the stage1 air filter.

Stix your the guru with all this stuff,is the active intake that motor on the rear of the bike that quietens everything down with the exhaust,if so how do you tell if it turned off, apart from it probably sounding louder while riding?????

    Cheers.

Alan ... cheers i will one day catch up and check that software out...... and yes i will get some pics with the saddle bags on... it finished up real well.... i got the smaller bags... about 50mm sorter in height ... we need those so they miss the shocks and rear indicators.... you will see in the photos....

hey Stix68..... my sert didn't have that red button on it... i do know the one you are talking about... apperently now you get just the dongle and nothing else... its just plain with a sticker on the side.... they are trying to make it only serviceable by a registered harley dealer... and yep... got it from frasers...

Hey guys it is strange, but when i bought my screaming eagle efi,I was told i have to buy a 2008 cd also, even though my tuner came with a 2007 cd. In the end frasers didnt use any of them when tuning the bike? Why is this ,if anyone knows.

In regards to RT's comment you have to buy the CD...I disagree...dealers have the latest software and maps...if you have the dongle that is enough, thats if you don't plan on tuning your self...

HD stop including CD's will the SERT/SEST shortly after they had released the products.

If you plan on having a dealer tune your bike all you need is the dongle.
