I need some advice please.
I have a custom that i recently stripped for a repaint, i removed motor/trans /primary in 1 piece.
I removed the clutch cable from inside the cover when removing.
When i refitted the motor and clutch cable, i had a heap of slack in the cable, so i pulled the derby cover off and checked the adjustment, and adjusted according to the factory manual, which was unscrew the stud, then screw in until i get tension then back the stud off 1/.2 to 3,4 turn amd lock it up, but even with the cable fully adjusted to maximum, i still have about 1 inch of freeplay.
Before i removed the motor, i still had atleast 1/2 of adjustment on the cable.
when i removed the engine, i laid it on the primary side, and the push to the clutch pull is still in place.
Any advice would be appreciated
