PERTH BIKERS CHARITY RIDE 33 2008
Meet at Hamburger Hill between 09:15 and 09:45
- we will leave at 09:45 for the Toy Run meet point at Belmont Race Course as a group to save being split up...
Saturday, December 6th 2008
We leave Belmont Race Course car park at 11am SHARP and riders need to be there no later than 10.30am. Anyone arriving after this time is placed in a separate car park and has to join the end of the procession once everyone else has gone past. We have Scouts there who put on breakfast of burgers, sausage sizzle, beverages and cool drinks. We may also have a band at the starting point this year.
We travel the length of the freeway and end at the Arena Joondalup where the Salvos collect all the donations directly from the riders in a big truck. Due to insurance and in consideration of other motorcyclists, any motorcycle with trailers will be paced at the end of the procession. This year there is no bike show after the event.

not sure how they arranged it last year Deluxe... I do know though that there were no scooters last year...
what do people want to do this year... you guys want to ride as a HD group or mixed in with the likes of HOG, Ulysses or PSB etc? If we go as a group someone (I guess perhaps me) will have to attend a pre-ride briefing, or we just mingle in our own group at the back.... so ladies and gents.... do we want to go as HD Forum?
I think it would be a great idea but we must and I stress MUST wear HD Forums T-shirts.
OK guys n gals... the pre-ride BBQ for 'club' representatives only is on Sunday 26th Oct..... I don't go to Kalgoorlie until pre dawn on 27th so will attend. There is also a dummy run on 23rd Nov but not sure if/what requirments to attend are... will let you know more as it comes to hand..
suggest that at least a couple other join me on the BBQ pre-ride briefing, but will confirm this once I discuss tomorrow...
in answer to your question Deluxe
***** Please note that for insurance and safety reasons, any motorcycles with trailers intending to join the ride ***** ***** will not be able to be in the main body of motorcycles and will have to ride at the back of the whole parade. *****
OK... got reply from organisers.... they have requested we only send two members to briefing BBQ so I'll take Hogman... will PM you closer to the date Michael
All for a great cause, count me in...........
If you need a hand with anything Tony am happy to help out if needed.
Uncle Ho
What is involved in the "Dummy Run" and approx how much it would take?
Correction - by "how much" I ment how much time
I'll post up details after the BBQ... until then I can only go on past experience from the ride over the last couple of years
