If it is the fob,, and you have the right battery ,,, make sure the battery is the right way up when installing the new battery !!!!!

Isn't the security light suggesting there's a fault code being logged? Since the right blinker doesn't work either I would think that's the problem area.
I don't think it has anything to do with the FOB.

Seems like a bad fob , or an electronic gremlin messing about !!!!

I know your having strange things happening,, but does your so called faulty fob operate the security system/alarm normally , as below ,,,

Have the two fobs , (about 10 meters from bike)...

When bike is off and the security system is enabled,,, with no fob present,,, does the security alarm activate when you turn ignition on, or move the bike ???
If yes,, (which is normal),, grab the so called faulty fob , go to the bike and disable system/alarm , (turn ignition off).... If not,, grab the other fob and disable the alarm ....
This exercise will tell us if you have a faulty fob, or other electronic problems .....

Hi, we did what you suggested both fobs work as normal. All of the alarm system is working, both fobs disable as they are meant to.

With the "so called" bad fob, I can ride all day using the left blinker as soon as i touch the right blinker the red security light comes on in the dash, as soon as this happens the right blinker dosen't work but everything else does, then if i change fobs & go for a ride, I have no problem at all.

Any further help would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.

Sue,, you must be frustrated,, not many make a mistake, and make a triple post ...

As one fob works ok,,,the betting is you have some minor fault with one of you fobs,, not enough of a electronic fault to render it completely buggered, as it still enables and disables the security system.
The turn signals and the security system are integrated electronically together, ie with the flashing etc ....
Looks like you may have to go to a dealer , and let them check it out with their Diagnostic digital technician tool .... They may be able to sort something out, or you may have to buy a spare fob .... Good luck ....

It all sounds nuts. One blinker, but only on a certain FOB...nuts.

Have you changed anything on the bike recently? Not that it should matter, becuase it would still sound nuts.

Are they normal blinkers btw?  Or LED?  If so, load equalizer?  It's still nuts.

Try going for a ride around the block with no fob and see what happens if it is all good you will know that the fob is causing the issue.

Gday Sue, not sure about a 2010 model but can you disarm it with the security code without the FOB present?
If so try that and take it for a ride and see what happens.

LED blinkers was my best guess, but it sure is an odd problem. Both FOBs having an issue makes a bit more sense though. Let us know how you go.
