have you done any work on it lately? may have dislodged a wire or left one loose , it happens.

if you have power @ da coil & there's  no damage to the ign loom from da moudle in da cam cover , then just replace the complete ign system with a single fire Daytona twin tec system , da ign system only last for 4 to 6 yrs after that your running on luck 1998 is 17yrs old ,
