I haven't and have been curious about it but probably wouldn't. Personally I would stick with headphones or the Scala type setups. Most blokes I know with granny glides don't listen to the music through the bikes speakers, they Bluetooth it into their headsets.

Why'd you get rid of the headset? I'm going to buy one for the WA trip

I like the bike speakers too. Haven't used my helmet speakers or ear mould in-ear head phones since getting my Roadglide. I have zero interest in using a phone when I ride and an intercom or talking to other riders doesn't really interest me either. I'm considering buying a j&m speaker and amp package to give a better sound.

I assume if you ran speakers on a road king, you'd have to have the screen on or else you'd hear nothing. If you're starting a system from scratch, don't just settle for any or a cheap system as the volume and sound quality might be insufficient to what you want, especially when you're on a highway at a good speed with lots of wind and bored which is when you want music the most.

Well I'll be, I used to be able to hear the music coming from the speakers of the fairing bikes, must be cause I'm too far in front!

GRAB A GRANNY. Same as above, music through the speakers / intercom and phone though the headset. On the Sporty, only had the built in headset in the Nolan helmet, which was good, but the speakers on the SG are heaps better.
