Alternative cable routing

    Hi,

I have fitted t bars to my 07 fatboy (see previous post re cable length)

However while tinkering with the cable today to measure it for a new one I re routed it  behind the bars of course, but over the top of the frame.  hence the cable is now on the right side of the frame at the front instead of the left side.  Still ran it throught the adjuster holder thingy on the down tube and as a result it swallowed up the extra 2 to 3 inches of cable that I didnt need.

Saved myself a new cable and cant see any issues with what Ive done.  Can anyone else?

    Nothing is binding/rubbing.

Will post a pic. when I get a chance.

As long as there is sufficient slack in the cable when moving the bars from full lock one side to the other, and it doesn't rub on anything, I reckon you've done a good job saving the cost and hassle of a longer cable.

I had a shop fit my new handlebars to my roadglide and they were going to replace one of my cables when I suggested they re-route the particualr cable which did the trick.
