Gday guys, I'm in the market for some rotors for a 98 FXD. 11.5" front and rear. I stumbled across these. I'm not sure if it's fair dinkum or not. The price is great, just not sure if it's legit Harley brand. Anyone used these guys before, or have an opinion? Cheers

They look a bit like some, but they don't quite get the gong. Go and have a look at the genuine HD site for brake rotors and you'll see - http://www.harley-davidson.com/shop/motorcycle-brake-rotors

Aftermarket look at all the other stuff thay sell Wether there as good as Oem or not that's something you will find out even
A lot of the Oem Harley stuff is made buy some one else to there specs

Yeah, wasn't sure with the way they were advertised if they were genuine or not. I really don't know a great deal about rotors or what makes one better than the other to be honest. I know what size I need. I'm not sure how much is aesthetics or function.

I wonder how much performance is affected by rotors? If you have decent pads on? Obviously there would be a variation in the top of the range crazy ones compared to the cheap as chips one. I don't know weather I should look at new calipers ( my original ones are looking really grim, but seem to work ok) and get clean cheap rotors, or get new pads and decent rotors. It adds up real quick with aftermarket brakes, bracket and rotors....it's doing my head in.

Yep, brakes are certainly important, it's just technology that I really haven't ever done a great deal of research on.
I got a message back from old mate on eBay. I asked him to confirm if they were genuine Harley Davidson brand rotors. I got a great answer back.
" I can confirm that is a Harley Davidson inspired genuine brake disc rotor" he should be a politician or a spokesman for a 1% club.

I totally agree. I've spent quite a bit on fancy seats and bling, when the brakes are far more important!
