Street bob makeover

Doing a few changes on an 07 street bob. already has the SE 103 stage 4 kit, so the powers taken care of. Of recent we've custom made a new tunnel for the new XL sporty tank to fit over the backbone nicely. Made some custom drag pipes, along with a mount for the speedo/idiot lights/reset button relocation (not quite finished yet).
Made up a new seat pan to flow with the new tank better. I just finished laying down the paint on the tank and my brother in law has done his thing with trimming the seat  (trimming is one thing I've recently learnt I'm not good at lol).
Lowered it heavily and blacked out a few things.
The indicators on the bike are going, fitting some smaller, less noticeable ones. Also making up a side mount braket for the plate and brake light. The mirrors are going too

Which brings me to the next part, doing a bit of a chop on a stock late model street bob fender. The already factory "chopped" versions.

So I'm wondering if any of you guys and ladies have a 2010 or newer fender laying around you'd want to sell? Don't matter about scratches or dints, im chopping it up anyway

Here it is so far. This wasn't the finished shape of the seat an either, I reworked it a little more after this shot

I'm away at the moment but when I get back and make some more progress I'll get some more pics up

    Thanks for looking!

    Thanks fellas

I'm sure there's a special person that will have something to say

Yep the purists love my work. My old man is one and for as long as I can remember.

This bob is a good mates bike. Of late there's been a spurt in street bobs with Burliegh highball bars, Vance and Hines big radius and SE heavy breathers in our area, and they now all look identical. This is what he had on this bike originally and so he asked me to make it look less like everyone else's. He doesn't want to throw loads of money at it, so I'm making as much as possible for it

Why would you put a sporty tank on a street bob and those pipes look ridiculous.

Ha ha just joking mate, great work !!

Birtyyy In my opinion the street bobs are best bang for buck. So much bike for what you pay in comparison to other Harley models.

Yeah Daggs, I'm just doing my thing, you know, fucking bikes up haha

    Thanks man I appreciate it!

Playing around with ideas for the rear fender. This is just an off cut, so don't mind the shitty look and slice up the side. Just getting an idea for length. I think this ones a winner

And I'm almost done on the speedo and idiot lights mount, bit of wrinkle black to help it be less noticeable when hanging off the wrinkle black motor

Side mount number plate almost finished. This will place the number plate half across the back tyre so it doesn't hang way off the side, and there should be no trouble with the law that way. A bit more done on the rear fender., still needs a bit of massaging. It's shortened a great deal and the rolled edges on the sides tappered down to the rear of the fender so it diesnt just look like a cut job, it'll also make it look closer to the tyre. Just need to shape the bottom side edges and new holes drilled after I shorten the frame struts.

Cheers Hilly. I can't take all the credit, it's a team effort. I got a good mate who's a wiz with metal fabrication. Anything too technical, that's his part

Finished off the tins today with a few final coats of clear over the black, looks like a mirror now. All the work gone into the fender is done and the struts are cut, drilled and finished off. The inner strut braces have been shorted to suit. Front and rear indicators done. Bars are looking heaps cleaner now, I'll gst some pics tomorrow. Had to do a little more work on the side mount, but fits snug like a glove and ready to go on. Just got to wire in the tail light and fuel pump and bolt it back together

Hey mate, bike looks badass. I always wanted to do this same style slim down but on a softail.
Just a quick one for you, I noticed on the after shot from the back, you don't have the bolt covers on for the top mounts of the rear struts.
Any chance you would be keen to sell them? I've been chasing a pair for a while and can't seem to find any.

    Cheers, Ethan
