What's the best way to remove the mufflers on a Fatboy, the little 3/8 bolts are on an angle and very difficult to get to?

I used a 3/8 offset ring spanner. from underneath for the bottom one & top for the top muffler
You only need to crack them and they should then be removable with your fingers. Tip - start from the rear & work your way forward, then loosen the clamps where they join the header pipe.
Its easier to remove the top muffler first.
loosen & remove the heat shields on header pipe as well as they snug up against the clamps.
Mufflers will be tight on the header pipe so take your time, loosen the clamp and open it up a with a large flat blade screwdriver so its free.A little wd40 can help
I removed the muffler shields so I could twist left & right as I removed them. the rear mount will limit how much you can twist but there is enough play.
