Greetings. Ok I don't have a harley, yet. Had one once, a 90 something sportster 1200 with a few go-faster bits. Mostly I have had Jap road and dirt bikes and a few Beemers, a Guzzi, 4 triumphs. At the mo I have a BMW and a KTM in the shed. I thought I would register now instead of trolling and lurking. I have always liked the sound the HD makes and the overall look of the beasts but I guess I was put off by the whole biker culture that revolved around Harleys, you know, the tassles and the stupid sleeveless leathers and endless posing for photos holding the shirt up and slopping budweiser down the fat belly, the endless talk of shovelheads and panheads and also the "tour of duty" era music. I just like bikes I didn't want to join some kind of cult with an ideology that includes being a fat bearded racist and sucking up to the USA. Anyway I bought a rocket 3 triumph a while ago in another effort to try appreciate a more cruiser style bike, it was pretty cool but really what was the use of all that power when the riding position made it impossible to travel at high speed, my arms were getting stretched and my head ripped off, even my legs were being blown outwards from the tank, talk about hard work. I think that was when I realised that yes, trying to ride a slow bike fast was definitely easier than riding a fast bike slow. Well now I have to do a lot of research and find out what HD to get or not to get so will be lurking and reading and looking at photos
Welcome mate
