Hell yes....they rock. It's basically a Webber setup that you can buy from them (in Melbourne anyway). I like them because no one else runs them...lol... (So I should be saying that they are crap...lol)

I run one on my 09 sporty....and to say they are free breathing is an understatement. I have a link to my build thread below.

yep they look great, only thing you got to be wary of is the foam catching fire in the event of a backfire.

    Hey Tussuck,
Did you get it complete from them and then modify it or did you get the backing plate from somewhere else?
I tried running your link but it didn't work.

I got the backing plate, foam filter and wire mesh cover from Weber Performance in Braeside. It was about $70 all up. They sell several different backing plates to suit the various types of Weber carbby and as it turns out you can get a plain one with no carb cutouts in it which would be perfect as you can then just use a harley gasket as the template etc. (I found this out afterwards - so what I did was to weld a 3mm plate over the Weber carbby cutout and then used a Harley gasket as the template)

Thats about half the job...the other half is modifying the OEM harley air cleaner back plate/mount to fit the Webber. I purchased an entire air cleaner cover setup on ebay for $20 so I can revert between the factory one and the Ramflow one.

This filter setup really opens up the top end on the bike...on my 883 with Screaming Beagel pipes the pickup from 100Km to 150km is so fast! With the OEM setup you have time to brew a coffee before you get a head of steam up.

I'll fix my website tonight and make sure all the pictures are up there.

    Thanks Tussuk.
I rang them this morning and found they had the solid backing plate.
Not sure if I should go the 400 or 600? I'm thinking the 600 but I have high pipes and I'm worried it might hit.
If I buy from them I will need to source an adapter plate and a breather kit or maybe just breather bolts.
It looks like you can get a complete kit on fleabay but the air cleaner is double the price.
Will keep you posted on how it turns out.

Cool site with some useful and clear info.
How did you seal around the backing plate and the breather pipes?

The backing plate uses the normal Harley gaskets so that bit of the seal is pretty much stock. The small lengths of hose that extend the breathers into the air filter space are just a press fit over the bit of the breather bolt that protrudes from the heads. Then the small cable ties around the hoses actually touch the rear of the backing plate holding the hose in place. The hose does not need to be glued in or anything as it not under any pressure etc....all it does is extend the breather bolts into the carb foam space and the cable ties hold in nicely in place.

All up it took a Saturday afternoon to make everything and fit it all together...

Not sure how the picture in the first post turned itself into a bike lift but anyway.
I finally got around to getting rid of the heavy breather and replacing it with a Ramflo style filter.
    I like it.

Not sure what's going on but all I see at my end is a picture of a bike lift and then when I check on my phone I can see the picture but its upside down. Fucked if I know?

Don't forget you have to oil Foam Filters, you can't use a regular engine oil for it either.
p.s. when cleaning the Air filter / Air Filter base don't clean the area with silicone products of any kind, they can damage the MAF sensors and O2 sensors.

Thats true, riding dirtbikes my whole life it's second nature to me, but to the un-initiated you could easily forget that.

I have one on my evo chop, just some basic machining to make it screw onto the CV carb. Also welded some brackets/breathers that screw into the heads so it never moves.

Nice pics...The Ramflows look sweet. Thankfully they cannot be bought over the counter otherwise everyone would be running them with their V&H big radias pipes...lol

Already accross the filter oil but appreciate the heads up Allde.
    Nice work Brash.
I fitted mine to the base of my heavy breather to incorporate the head breather bolts.

Had the 9" one on my old Kwaka, if nothing else it made a shitload of induction noise.
