Hi all,

Planning to ride my forty eight to phillip island this weekend. Few questions

I have been to phillip island in my GSXR couple of years back with much larger fuel capacity but bit concerned with forty eight peanut fuel tank. Forty eight is giving me around 70 km in full tank, my assumption is I have to refill atleast 4 times all the way up and down(from where I am planning to kick off). Any one here ride before in forty eight? Like to know check points for refuelling.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Must be a typo.... 70km on a full tank is not right. I get 200km out of my 883 tank.

There would be about 5 petrol stations between Cranbourne and San Remo , Your got nothing to worry about

Mate, I ride my 48 from the NE suburbs to the island most weekends and I can get all the way there on a tank. The fuel light comes on around Grantville which has a BP. There's another BP at Lang Lang and a caltex at koowerup.
You're gunna feel like stopping anyway because we both know how uncomfortable these bikes can be.

Good weather this morning and Cranbourne is absolutely packed with bikes for the GP Run! ??

I did some of this ride ive never seen so many riders that cant ride in a group
Thank god for the Lang Lang turn off which I / we took and headed for the hills

BUT most ipmportantly!

I only spotted 6 Evos today (1 X sweet shovel and 1 x beauty Knuck) ...the rest were twinks. Its a sad day indeed!

Just got back from my ride and got 130+ from my full tank.

What an absolute stunning ride. Never seen this much bike gathered in one place. Can't wait for next year!

Great news, how were the Cop's? i always hear storys about how sneaky Victorian cops are like hiding in bushs with speed camera & so on, but i don't beleave it, just would like to know from the mexicans themself? as want to ride through the state soon.

 

I did ride Phillip island to Sydney through south coast after watching GP2015
1200XL CA 2015 , filled up the tank every 200 km
