Pulled the pin on  a 2015 low rider , last week , Got a good deal  on the bike and accessories , got it from PS , and who said they won't deal, never used to but now they do , ( thanks bikeworks ) . Its a late 2015 build  , thought  long and hard about wether to hold out for a 16 model , because of resale value , But in the end , a big saving on the price now , Means it evens out if i ever trade it ,, Besides 15 , or 16 , model  if you use the bike and put 60-70 thousand klm on it in the next 5 -6 years , its worth fuck all then anyway.. So i bought the 2015 model , because it was a big saving money wise and most important in stock , . So i'm a happy little vegamite at the moment .

Not had the chance to ride it yet , only rode it home from the dealers ,  been busy , but  from  the little i've rode it , i don't think i'm gonna need my other bikes , its light enough to take the place of my v strom for  city riding and 2 up , and comfortable enough  to replace my  touring bike for long haul stuff , certainly seems to suit me  a bit better than the street bob my previous harley

    Nice.

I just rode one last week as a loan bike while mine had some work done. The Lowrider's are a great bike, and the fitted SE nightstick wasn't terrible sounding. either.

Got any plans for mods yet?

Had the foot pegs , grips , brake, clucth ,pegs , changed ,, back reat and luggage rack , and the se night stick slip put on .. Cannot really think of anything else it needs at the moment ,, I'll give it a couple of thousand klm and see if the nightstick sound gets any deeper , i'm happy with the noise level but deeper may be better ,, not sure about anything else , i don't need power its fast enough, after all its a 1700 cc motor and if i want more i've got a rocket thats been tickled with, and has more power than i can handle , sat in the shed just waiting to start up .

If the sound stays the same , i've been told theres a end i can buy for the nightstick which will deepen the sound, give a bit more noise , but will then require a tuner .. also thinking maybee some street bob mini apes , i really liked them on my last harley (streetbob )

Fuck there you go , got me started again , still got the other 2 bikes i spent thousands on sat in the shed . ha ha .. Its never ending , I will say though this is the first bike i've ever owned that just seems to fit me , , not done many miles but the bars , seat and pegs , just seem to feel right . . The nightstick seems ok , just feel it needs to be deeper , but after a 3-4000 klm or so, it will probably be ok

At least you realised that you have to keep trying until you get it right.

The question is, what do you do with your other bikes?

    Life is full of decisions.

Went for a good ride today , except for riding home last week and a couple of klm last night , i've not had the time to use it ,, But today went out done 250 klm , bike goes nice , i'm happy with it and it will suit its purpose , which is take the missis out for the day , friday night cruise with the missis for tea somewhere , , and day rides out with a few other harley riders i know . Probably join you guys on some rides has well now i'm back in the harley fold ,

The bike actually reminds me VERY VERY much of the Triumph t bird i owned up till 3 years ago , the seating and foot position is very similar , this is not run in yet so obviously i was'nt giving it to much but performance and handling theres nto to much in it ,,,

It sort of opened a can of worms for me , because by the end of the day i was getting sore , and found the seat was starting to irritate me , the back of it sort of rubbed against my lower back and got annoying , every thing i found wrong with it is an easy fix , seat mainly ,, but yet after a drink or petrol stop , i was ready to go again , so would i travel on it ,, yep i would but i would need to change the seat put on a riders backrest , probably a screen , some highway pegs to give the legs a change and this bike would be ready to tour Aust , Thats to be doing big days 7-800 klm but for shorter days 250-300 klm , You just need to get off for 5 minuites every 100 -150 klm

But then i think why bother , got another bike for touring and this bike of the shelf is perfect for day trips , with the wife or days out with mates .

Krackers ---- Probably keep my other bikes , had them both since new , would'nt get much for them , and both have 10 months rego and serviced up to date , with good tyres , may has well keep them , there gonna be worth the same money in 12 months time anyway .

Overall i'm very happy with the bike , I would reccomend them , great for bar hopping would'nt take to much to turn into a good tourer , and handles well
