Hi all, headinv down to the MotoGP next week for the first time. Just wondering how the cops usually treat bikes. Needless to say, my pipes are not quite standard. Are there usually any issues with inspections/ EPA and stuff.

Yeah, as long as you are doing the right thing, they don't have the time to worry about your pipes and I've never see the EPA testers there.

Enjoy your trip over and have a good time at the GP.

For all the bad reports on vic police , I've travelled extensivly right throughout vic ,, Ocean rd , mornington , up to nsw , across the top , through the middle , great roads and great scenery right throughout ,always missed Melbourne only rode through it has quick has i can when neccessary , But i've never been stopped , to be honest not even seen many cops seen one who flashed me and waved me to slow down has he was coming towards me , and i was doing 110 in a 100 ,

Phillip island time they always go beserk , but heh , just watch all the boy racers when the cops are not around , there not only a danger to themselves but every other rider on the road , i've been on the ocean road coming back and just shook my head at some of them trying to emulate there heroes ,, I think the cops just take a hammer to crack a nut , to make sure they get there point across ,,, DO not speed 50-75 klm each side of hORSHAM .. You will get pinged that place has been notorious for radars and over enthusiastic cops for the last 30 or so years i've been travelling over to vic .

Actually, with all the Jappa boy racers around on the day, a mild mannered Harley will not even register on the cops radar. Speed is the big thing down here...be sensible and you will be fine!

Just for the record, the cops were great. They just wanted to get everyone into the event and away home at the end. It was an awesome day.

Agree....They generally are good on the GP run. Most of the ones I saw were on Bikes as well...
