    Hey Guys,

My name is Mark Lehman. I have recently partnered with a gentleman in Australia and we are going to be importing new American Ironhorse Choppers. My question for you all is how well do you think they will sell? The prices will start at about 45,000 AUD. Is there a market in Australia? Please let me know what you think. If you are not familiar with the ironhose they can be found here:  http://www.americanironhorse.com

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Well,

I think I am bringing in 6-12 to start. Just clearing up with the ADR right now. I have a ton available. Parts are no problem as I am a US bike dealer. Thanks for your input.

Geez Flan...that is a bubble burster for the bloke!!!

Not sure how they will go mate but if you have the resources to get it going to test the market then good luck. They look nice.

Well Big Bear is also an American import. No diffrent from American Ironhorse. 200k to test an import I know is not correct. And yes you Aussies have some great bike builders.

Good luck and i hope that it goes well for you, the more bikes the better. If you have a demo model that you want someone to test ride all over the sunny state of Queensland, i will put up my hand. I will even send you the photos. Do forum members get a discount? Hope that it all goes well and let us know how things go.

There are afew companies that already import bikes from the US... and because of the mining boom have been doing pretty well for themselves. Given the recent financial conundrum not sure what the future holds......

Out local outlet Super Cycles imports bikes (saxon and Pro-One) and seem to have done pretty well. They also took some bikes to Gold Coast Bike Week in August.

    All the best mate
