Hi all,so I've noticed my brake light had stop working but my taillight was still good,I've gone and bought a new bulb today and replaced it but still no luck then I realised both lights in the bulb are on (new and old bulbs)which I believe means the brake light is in fact stuck on. Any one had this happen?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks

Check your front brake lever is returning to off. And also your rear switch. If it is your front spray a bit of wd40 in and work the lever on the brake plunger...Failing that have you tekern off the levers ?  If you have you may have broke the nipple on the switch

Thanks for the heads up AJ, I've had similar issues with my front brake switch sticking on sometimes. I thought of spraying a bit of WD40 to rectify the problem, but wasn't 100% sure if it was the right thing to do. Will give it a shot tomorrow.

    What AJ56 said + 1

If it turns out to be the switch in the front brake lever assembly then......

If you know a really good auto electrician its worth getting them to do it to save yourself the frustration as it's one hell of a fiddly  job.. Have heard of people fixing the swittch by gluing a bit of somthing on the end of it or putting a real small screw on the end of it.

There is a master cylinder service kit that fixes the issue. It is a common problem. Replacing the switch will often not fix the problem.
I dont know exactly what's involved but I got my master cylinder serviced with the kit and was $80.
    Problem solved

Im with the chafed cable under the guard. Happens a lot particularly if your shockers are old and saggy or if you are on the heavier side. The cables short out.
