    What a piece of crap...

Ok during summer where you can take the visor off and run it as a semi open face, but winter.. horrible.. Water runs down the INSIDE of the visor, riding with the visor up results in windnoise not unlike someone blowing a whistle in your ear and worst of all, the visor mechanism require constant retightening, failure to do so results in the visor flopping about and grinding itself against the shell of the helmet, my visor has heavy scratches down it, the finish of my helmet is heavily scratched as well.. in all..

A crappy 'fashion' helmet suitable for the odd warm weather weekend run but not one for day to day use.

Well that doesn't sound like a good review for the product.

Time to find a better one I'd say.

I note the 'new' range of HD full face helmets are made by Bell (in China).

Have you thought about taking it back and claiming some sort of warranty? Sounds defective on a few fronts. I believe that, at least in the US, Bell has a five year warranty?

I'm in the market for one but your experience doesn't help sell the brand. Bell generally get a good write up on Revzilla but think I will keep looking at all options.

Meh. I've had mine for about a year now and havnt had any problem with the visor flopping around apart from once when I didn't refit the retainers on the side properly.
The whistle with the visor slightly open is annoying though but you can stop it by tilting your head slightly foreward.
I've only scratched the helmet once above the visor when I had some grit between the visor and the shell.
Still don't think it's the most comfortable helmet as the padding inside is almost non existant.
The best thing is the field of vision. Closest to an open face I've ever had.

I have the open face and full face carbon Bell Bullit helmets with the bubble face visors and I find the periphal vision incredible. The Bullit fullface visor does have a minor gap at the top between the helmet and visor so I fitted a small rubber sleeve across the top of the visor, no more wind noise and it is sealed from the water in rain. This I have tested over some 7000km during the past 21/2 months. The Bullit fullface helmet has more movement in its fitting than the open face carbon helmet, but vision wise brilliant considering some of our terrible cage drivers. When I rode down to the State Rally at Queanbeyan, we rode to Lithgow in pouring rain with minimal visibility, the helmet was fine.

I was really keen on this helmet when it was first released. I couldn't seem to get a good, comfortable fit. I'm in between an XL/XXL. I've ended up buying a shark full face and I'm getting used to a full face for the first time in years. In hindsight,I'm glad I didn't get one of these. I'm certainly happy with the Shark. Will see how it feels once summer kicks in properly.
