Brake pads Question.

Hey blokes. I am putting lyndall gold pads in my 2012 ultra (tigger). This bike has the Brembo brakes from standard and they work like a champion.

The pads that came out looked very good. They didn't really need changing but i did anyway due to new rotors and wheels I put on.

The question I have is are the lyndall pads better than the brembo pads? I hope they are. The brembos are very heavy suggesting a high metal content. It would be a shame if the lyndalls aren't as  equivalent to the brembos in stopping power but they do claim to be dustless and will not wear out your rotor. So i suppose they do have advantages also.

I will find out tomorrow when i go for a spin.

I haven't used lyndall pads , but a mate uses them , he is happy with them , say's there is less dust etc . Good idea to replace pads, (whatever the condition of old pads), when you replace rotors, so new pads and new rotors bed in properly ...
See how the brakes perform, but may be worth new fluid, ie, flush /bleed , if getting close to , say, 2 years since the last brake fluid change ... My bike has abs , and I flush/bleed brakes with the mityvac vacuum pump with no problems with abs operation etc ....

Update on the Lyndall 7254 ultra gold+ pads. I have done around 3500ks on them now and seem pretty good so far. Front wheel only!
Sound about the same as the Brembo pads that was in before. About Cicadas at half noise!
Stopping power seems get better with heat. Cant notice any real dust off them but Tigger never gets that dirty anyway.
So I would recommend them on the basis that they do the same as the brembo pads but are less expensive to purchase. They claim less dust and reduced disc wear also. So if this is true then thumbs up.
I got mine from Rollies and I think they were $89 a pair. Still pretty fu%#en dear for bike brake pads!
