When I jack my bike up ( '97 FXDWG )  my engine tilts forward and my exhaust hits on the frame. Is this normal or are my engine mounts stuffed?

replace both rubber engine mount's there old & stuffed , have a look behind da starter motor & see if there's a witness mark the starter motor has come back & hit da paint off da frame back bone,

Your right there is a mark there like the starter has been hitting the frame.
Thanks for that it looks like I'll be replacing both mounts and while i'm at it I might look at doing the swing arm too.

when da starter hits da frame if give's a bang shock thru da bike , ya feel & hear it, when there that bad replace both F/R & check out da top engine stablizer link it would more than likley buggered ,  cheers bob
