Sorry guys first post and trying to work out how to post. I bought a chrome side mount number plate kit from hd during the week. I followed all instructions for installation. The problem im having is the mounting plate that is suppose to go between frame rail and fender is actually pushing the fender inwards withing a bees willy of my tyre. I dont think this part fits a seventy two 2015 i could be doing sometbing wrong though. Has anybody else had dramas with this part?

Something def not right there. But you may not get much helpful advice here as those side mount plate setups are nothing but trouble and most on here stay well away from them

if you can't see all of the plate from 45° in all directions, including the tyre side, it's cop bait.
Return it, get ya money back and say you weren't happy with the way it mounts.
Otherwise read the instructions again or maybe it's for a different model bike.

Normally Harley stuff fits.
