Hey all,

 

Any ideas on what is best to use to grind out a small section on the rear of a cast aluminium timer cover to make it fit XL883 2008?

I only need to grind in a 20mm diameter hole 1-1.5mm deep.

I tried using a standard Dremel grinding bit but a) will take a while, and b) started to deform the tip.

I know they have Tungsten Carbide dremel bits that would probably cut cast aluminium well enough but they are $$$ for if it doesnt!!

 

Or does anyone local (Ferntree Gully) have a tool that could do it easier?
