Oct 27th last year i got my sporty, a stock standard xl883. so i thought i would write a review so far.
milage done so far 14,500, lol why do we still say milage when it is kilometers!
I have made a few changes, added a SE aircleaner which leaned the mixture way to much with the SE pipes already fitted, so took off the air cleaner and got a o2ied from night rider, worked great untill i put the aircleaner back on, i,m old school i pull the plugs to check how the changes are going and it was way too lean!
So i got a dobeck electronic jet kit from them in the land of the fucked up and fitted it to the bike, shit what a difference and i like the way i can use a screwdriver to adjust it, told you i was old school!
Next to go was the exhaust, i bought a set of 4 inch drag pipe baffeles and a couple of Lukey 1,3/4 to 2,1/8 exhaust extensions, made my own brackets to fit it all up and wow what a difference, added a 29 tooth sprocket to give her longer legs as well.
So the result so far, i am realy happy with the exhaust, the dobeck, the sprocket change, and the bike as a whole!
Had the best of rides last weekend, about 450 k,s and she just purred, i dont need at the moment any more inches i have enough ty lol! I always wanted to make the bestest 883 around and i have for ME, its such a nice bike to ride ( been riding for nearly 40 years) There a lot of things i would like to change yet but the budget is fine ( my nicname is PUB poor urban biker lol) but me and me girl do a lot of miles together and i enjoy every one of them, $30,000 and 300k,s dont make you a biker!
