    Hi Ralphski,

I have done some testing with both those pipes over the years. Both pipes have similar power charastics. They have a low Torque entry to the rev range and sometimes they will have a dip at 2,700 rpm before it starts to work again. Both a bit soft till you get to about 3,000 rpm then they start making power from there. The Thunder Header seems to make a little bit more peak horse power. As far as noise goes it's not called a Thunder Header for nothing. When you open the throttle it gets loud. Both pipes have very specefic tunes to get the best out of them. You will need a tune before you can try to feel any real changes.

    Cheers,

    Brian.

    Thanks Brian,
seems the Thunderheaders lack quality also.
i had a chance to change my pipes for them.
At this point in time, have declined.

looking at my dyno figures, no real drop off.

Any updates on choice of pipes yet, and have you had them fitted?  Looking forward to seeing your ride in the flesh soon.

    Cheers.

really happy with the performance, ( will be better when i swap my pipes for 06 Softail's pipes ), he just doesn't know it yet.....
standard 110B, unsure of the cams, but not the 255's.
if i can swap my pipes for V&H 2-1's, i'll pull the cam cover to check.

Haha Ralph, so you like mine do you? I do too. They look & sound great on a Softail, especially after a decent tune up.  Supposedly they are good for torque too so I hear.

They'd look pretty sweet on your ride too, but I'm not going to part with them any time soon, sorry mate.

P.s, let me know when you want to swap that back wheel of yours, cheers.
