Hi All
Just a quick note to say thanks to Brian Lennon at EBT. I recently upgraded my 2013 Fatbob. I looked at a number of different options, including Harley Stage IV kit, cams, high comp pistons, heads etc. After a quick chat with Brian I decided that the Stage IV kit was not for me, this was mainly due to the cams. After lots of research and looking at what others had done, this took about 4 months, I went to Brian with a plan. The plan changed a little bit and I pulled the trigger. I bought the parts from Brian and did the install myself. Brian then did the tune. I am very happy with the results. The bike makes 117 ft/lbs and 107 ponies. My aim was to have 100 ft/lbs at 2500 rpm with a nice smooth torque curve which we acheived.
If you are looking to upgrade your bike give Brian a call before you buy. He is happy to discuss what options are availabe to you and how best to get the best bang for your buck. He was extremely helpful in suggesting the right components for my style of riding.
The tune on the bike is great. It makes silky smooth power from any where up from 2500. I was not expecting the bike to be as well mannered as it is. I can still cruise, but now I have effortless power to accelerate. The decel pop that the V&H BR 2-1 are known for it all but gone which is nice.
Thanks again Brian.
Cheers John Paterson
Hi John,
Thanks Mate. It was a great project for the both of us. You really knew the the type of power you wanted along with long term reliability you required. I'm so happy that we were able to acheive the results.. Enjoy the ride.
Cheers,
Brian.
107 s&s big bore kit c/w CP pistons, 585 easy start gear cams, EBT port and polish of stock heads, quickee pushrods, 50mm SE throttle body, s&s premium lifters and then Brian tuned the bike.
only calculated and not measured but static was about 10.1:1.
The bike rides real nice. it has manners as well as plenty on tap. I haven't put enough miles on it yet to look at fuel economy. But at the end of the day it all depends on how much fun you have as far as fuel economy is concerned. I modded my 2-1 a little bit to improve flow. how did you find the supertrap? a friend of mine is fitting one to SWG right now.
Id liked supertrapp pipes for a while and had their mufflers on my yamaha vmax two bikes ago. Liked them for their tune-ability. Just so turned out that the supertrapp 2-1 was also my tuner's fave exhaust to work with so getting another supertrapp was a no-brainer on that bike. I like em. Not common here and not the best looking but have worked well in my bikes. No torque dip on my fatboy which is common with 2-1 pipes and they're not nearly as loud as others until you open the throttle wide which suited me. Blokes, engine builders and tuners on forums in the USA use them a bit and we all know how much they play around with combinations to see what works etc
