Dented front guard

The misses Switchback was dented some by some cunt the other night and we don't have any bike repairers in town.

Whilst it looks like it could pop out with a heat gun and dry ice - I'm not sure if the paint would crack or not.

One mate suggested it would be just cheaper to buy a new one - insurance excess is $500.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Theres some clips on youtube where they heat and then cool the dents and they pop out . Worth a try .

One of the other blokes I know said the same thing - apply heat to the dent and put dry ice on it.

The Harley guards are harder steel than a car panel so I'm not sure if it would work - but it would be worth a try.

Heres another angle of the dent...

I had $10,000 damage to my 2 week old Triton in 2011, they sucked out the dents and no damage to the paint, still no evidents there was an issue

The "Paintless dent removal"guys are good at this , I've seen way worse dents than that come out 99.5%

Guard may or may not be better off the bike , tyre may be in the way of their spoons and levers

    I had a ding taken out of a 2006 Dyna tank 99.5%

With a new out of the US tank badge it was then 99.9995% ( The badges came as a pair of course , I still have the other NOS in my shed !!)

A mate had a ding like the one on this bike in this thread taken out of an Ultra front guard

Same Swiss bloke who did them here in Perth , calls himself "The Ding-King "

Youtube has several Harley dent removal videos , all US based of course , but it can be done !!

How did the dent get there in the first place?

Didn't think that it'd be a deliberate act. That would make you even angrier
