having trouble finding pegs to replace standards on my 48.After purchasing new willie g pegs i was annoyed to discover  the bracket that holds the peg is longer at the top than the bottom making fitting aftermarket pegs impossible. I've since tried to find others to fit with no luck. I'm considering having the bracket cut back but seems drastic. anyone had same problem how'd u solve it?????

that's a bit of a cunt there timmy, you sure the receiving mount in photo is original ? It looks as if it can be removed
im not savvy on sporties but on some bikes (not necessarily HD.s) you can change this docking hardware to suit aftermarket pegs (kuryakyn ect) and most likely HD oem

Tah for the reply.Yep all stock. managed to remove docking brackety thing & found a engineering shop that can shorten it so that should do the trick otherwise yeah aftermarket hunt is on. mates softail breakout has same set-up so looks like there'll be a few people running into same problem.

You need to buy different "clevis"? (mount) to suit. Mine was a bit of a pain as I did not have cir-clip pliers to suit, then wrong size allen key!

    or plan B, angle grinder!!!

Edit: Plan C is return the other pegs and buy pegs to suit your bike, but these are mostly the skinny ones.
