thinking of fitting 422's to my Springer.

Anyone fitted them to their softail?

What were you thoughts of the 422's?

No two up riding and mainly for pushing through the hills etc.

Can get them from the States for about $600, delivered.

Not really prepared to spend $$$$ on the various air ride shocks.

Ask Tim and I and we'll both tell you to check out YSS.
Match the front while your at it. Stops the diving. Firm rear and saggy front make for a bad ride.

    Reminds me of an ex.

ralph , i would not recoment them at all i've had about three sets, even had one progressive shock fall apart, they seem better right at start but they progressively go south!

there are some good shocks out there , if you can find someone that can custom order you Race Tech shocks they are great! i had a set & they are still on the bike ( sold it to a mate ) fornals great too.

Springer front ends great! they don't dive they are like a leading link  work good especiall the newer genuine Harley ones!!!

Last I heard the Fournales were about  $1750 for a set of rears for a softail ( From the Frenchman in Tasmania, who is supposed to be the Aussie distributor). A mate of mine bought a set and was a bit miffed he did not get the syringe type pump with them to adjust the pressure.

You can get em cheaper from the US but aparently you will have to send em back to the states if they fuck up under warranty. Thats what the Frenchman will tell you I believe.

Got the gas cartridge ones(progressive) in the front of mine and am happy with em, also looking to upgrade the back. Be interested to see how you go.

    Cheers

emailed YYS about 5 days ago, no reply yet.
    Maybe ring them sometime.
Just curious as to where they are made? quality? etc.
Do they deal in softail shocks?
Thundertech in WA no longer deal with Fournales.
I did wind out the pre-load about 3-4mm before the ride on the weekend, made a improvement.

    How much Ralph?

Always worry about getting things like this from states in case there is warranty issues. Gets expansive sending em back but sometimes price diffrence is worth the risk.
