    Hi Guys,

I bleed the front breaks on my 2012 fat bob after bleeding I took it for a ride and noticed that my front break starts to lock/drag. Me and me mate we both bleed the breaks on our bikes and me mate bikes got no issues and I end up with this fucking issue. I checked my ABS code as well and there were none on the system.

Funny thing is I went to my local harley dealer today and ask the tech about this issue his response simply was sorry mate you have to bring the bike here and we hook it up into our doover and than let you know whts wrong with it and start 30mins for abs break bleed and another 30 mins for isolate the issue and than list goes on and on.

Please I need you guru's on my side. Please help me out.

    Much appreciate the help.

    cheers

    shane

I'm not a Guru, but I've had a few bikes...
There is a recent thread similar to your problem, and a few things were mentioned to check ,, so check it out ..

If calipers/pads etc, are installed properly , lets start with simple things,, first off, make sure your caliper pistons are clean and free moving . Remove caliper from rotor , remove pads,, get something, (piece of timber), and place between pistons , pump brake to extend pistons,, (make sure pistons dont fully extend and come out of their bore, about 5mm longer than if pads and rotor were in place should do),, Give them a good clean, (brake cleaner or warm soapy water) .. With the piece of timber, force the pistons back in there bore , (may want to take the reservoir cap off, and put some rags around it ), them pump brake to extend pistons . Do this a number of times .. Then install pads , and caliper ...
Also check reservoir is not over filled,, Check reservoir gasket, so that it is not out of shape ...

These are just a couple of simple things to do that may fix your problem ... If not we will go to plan B .... Good luck ..

Check that you used the right brake fluid. If you use Dot 5 (silicone based) instead of Dot 4 (gylco based) it is incompatable with one another and can cause issues with the seals which may not allow the master cylinder and caliper pistons to retract properly.
