30 Years ago today (20th August 1985) I jumped on the back of my brother Urny's (RIP) FXRS
and we made the 300km trip to the city to pick up my brand new 1985 XLS. On the way home, we were pulled over for going "suspiciously slow" and eventually pointing out the odometer with only 80km's showing convinced the coppers that we weren't on acid - we were just running in a new bike. Still in the shed . . . . . . ;D This is one of the earliest photo's I can find
and a few from the journey
and these a month or two back
I am sure somewhere I have a photo of Urny riding it taken from the sidecar. Might be a night of reflection over a rum or two . . . .

Nice.
Good on you m8!
Good ol Iron (cast iron ) head & 4 speed, that must have been the last year of the 61 cubic inch?
Gday Krash - yep, Last of the Iron Barrels. Supposedly one of only two of that model that came to WA and the other one was written off before I bought mine. She has been a companion through good times and bad and is very special to me.
Thanks for the comments.
Nice pics. My FLHT turned 8 today. That's a bit less than you and your Sporty.????
