In a recent topic on cams and engine work for more torque , it was good of tuning guru Neville Lush to say that in the real world you can,t hold a bike at 3000 rpm ( at 100% throttle )up a steep hill without the revs increasing . Only achievable on a dyno . This is where magical figures come from , yes true , but really not able to be replicated on the road . Real world riding . My mate was doing work on a turbo Suzuki that held the highest streetbike hp in Aust 89/90 ( 200 hp ). He asked the owner what it was like when he really turned it on . Owner didn,t know ,  it was really only ridden on the dyno ..... This is not a dig at dyno,s , they are fantastic for tuning , just saying .

Tim, I would just point out that I was referring to a bike with 140ft lbs torque. Some bikes you can do it to. :-)

I guess you mean on the dyno? The machine will hold 800ft lbs apparently, so yes. In reality the easiest part of the whole bike to tune is WOT. Maybe 3 passes of about 6 seconds on each cylinder, 6 passes if the bike is difficult one to get right, and you have a pretty good dyno graph. But is the bike tuned? You guys can work that out.
