    Hi,

Forty eight 2104 model. Not starting when tried to turn on the bike. Sounds like flat battery, no issues with headlight or indicators. Hearing the click sound whenever trying to start the bike. I do have battery tender plug in, but don't know how to charge the battery with it. Do I need to have anything else along with it to charge the battery? Do deler have to provide me anything else to charge the battery? I do remember dealer told me about recharging the battery with normal plug point but can't remember how to do this. I'm attaching the pic of the cables below

Any help will be greatly apprecialted. Thanks in advance

I was always told a battery tender is for maintaining a good charge, not for charging.
That said, the plug is connected to the battery and doesn't do shit without a tender (sqaure box with plugs at either end - one to the bike, one to mains power), which it doesn't sound like the dealer gave you. He is under no obligation to give you one unless he said he would.

There's a chance the battery is fucked anyway, but if you have a charger (a proper one) you could take out the battery and try. I had a battery dealer try to charge one for me once, but I knew him so...

Thanks for all the reply. Bought Battery tender from Harley Heaven last night($60) and charged it overnight. Charger lights turned to green this morning(was orange last night). Hopefully battery is fully charged and will give it a crack this evening to see how it goes.
