Thinking of removing the front fender on my Iron883. Before I do what are peoples experiences with riding on a rainy day? Is it absolutely shocking with the amount of spray? Also I'm in NSW is removing the front fender illegal?

    Thanks!

I wouldn't do it , it's crap on wet weather , plus it looks fine with it on , just another reason for a cop to look over your bike

Cars drop coolant/air con condensor water sitting at the lights it seems, whenever I go past a set of traffic lights in summer you can bet your ass there is a patch of something on the ground. It flicks up right in your mouth!

Anyone running something like the easyriders shorty front? Good compromise between coverage and looks?

    Hi Rawiron,

I chopped my stock fender. Huge improvement in looks (in my opinion) and still stops coolant, whatever flicking up into my face. Another bonus of doing it yourself besides saving money is that you can shorten it to any length you like.

I haven't had one on my bike for at least a year and a half and have never had any hassle, sucks in the rain but your getting wet anyway.. I shaved the mounts right off too
