Hi all i bought the wife a fxdb street bob, now i was told by a harley dealer it was a 103 ci, got all the orginal parts out to try and sell now ive came across the breather intake saying it is a 96 ci.

what can i do about this? she is spewing

Im pretty sure only the special edition had the 103 that year. Your vin says its 96cubes. Bugger. Maybe the sales person didn't know. What does it read on the air cleaner trim ring?
Yeah he was wrong but I doubt there's anything you can do about it. I don't think they'll fit a 103 kit for you.
unless it's already had a 103 kit done? That would explain it !!
2014 model had 103 motor it was the reason i bought one new because it had the bigger motor. it has 103 stamped in the clutch inspection cover and on the other side on the cover where the points used to be. The 2014 models were released in late 2013 maybe that is where the confusion has come from. The street bob special and the lowrider were released early in 2014 so both had the 103 motor. good luck trying to get the dealer to cough up for misleading you unless you bought the bike as a new or demo you might have a fighting chance
