    Hi All

I have a 07 Road King with a Stick On tank emblem.  The tank is black.  The bike spent most of its life under cover before I bought it this year, so I dont think there would be too much fading around it.  The problem is I dont like the emblem and want to remove it.  I also dont want to have to repaint the tank if anything goes wrong.  The question is has anyone removed their tank emblems and was there any problems with edge fading you couldnt polish out ?  Did you use any solvents in the removal and if so; what did you use ?  Appreciate any advice.

I agree with using fishing line. If you heat it up at the edges with a hair dryer it might soften the glue too

heat it up a bit with a hair dryer and use dental-floss. Might need some of the orange goo remover to get rid of any excess adhesive

Thanks Guys. Hadnt thought of the line or floss approach. Were there any leftover issues after removal ?? Fading, paint flaws etc. I want to get rid of the emblems but I cant afford to repaint. Hoping a colour sand and polish and noone will ever know.
