Looking at what cam options for my '08 CVO Springer.

    After gains within the 2000-4000? ( low-mid range ).

Don't give a fck about fuel usage.

Anyone fitted cams to their 110?

    Dyno results?  pro's or con's?

    Currently have V & H's, Heavy breather, 97 hp and 115 torque.

Is a gain of 10 hp and 15 torque range about average?

    Any/all thoughts appreciated, thanks

I thought your bike would already have se255 cams which suit your objective?

For a bolt in, Wood TW-222 , or a bit more top end , Tman 555TQ

If it was me it would be something with a 45* + intake closing and as big a TDC lift as I could get. Soemthing like a SE257.

Ya want a cam thats not over before you begin

     your not riding a Bagger

Yours looks like an "Aussie" bike from new going by the air filter setup

The yank "Domestic" market bikes all had the pointy forward heavy breather as stock

That would probably help a wee bit.

I have a Yank import 2008 CVO Springer ( just like yours , same colour ) , same V&H Big shot staggered. Tuned by original SERT/TTS. Stock 255 cams , power 2500 to 4500 probably

    I also have a 2013 CVO Breakout , 1800 pro-upgrade kit , high comp pistons , 259e cams , Freedom performance Declaration turnouts true duals , power 3500 to 6000

Springer is quicker "out the hole" , it fucking stonks. Pulls like a train which is good for a 300Kg lump.

Breakout is faster once up the revs , like a Ducati, less "useful" around town truth be told

I bought it used , but in hindsight "would probably not have spent that money" (I didn't , the first owner did from day 1 !)

I'm not being arsey mate , but it may be a case of be careful what you wish for

Get it Custom Dyno tuned and you will be happy, you have one of the best tuners over there.

Won't get much more out of it than you already have with stock heads...

Yes, i've been told that all CVO's have SE 255's.
Also, TW-222, SE 259 or Andrews 57's are all good options.
Also, get Hoody to do the heads.
Wondering how much improvement i'd get changing to one of the 3 cams above, compared with standard SE 255's?

Decide on a compression you want and talk to Hoody when he does your heads. Those CVO heads come up very well indeed. Sell the 255's to some one you hate.

    fckn nice ride Retro, haha.

look at my dyno figures, how'd they compare with your CVO Springer?

After bigger gains around the same rpm ( 2,500-5500 ).

    SE 260 cams? 58mm throttlebody ( 4.9 injectors? ), 10.5 pistons, heads  done.

with lushy doin' the tune, i'd expect around the 130 hp and 125 tq.

    :-)

I've never had any of my Harleys on a Dyno , never felt the need.

That and 10+ years ago or so there was only one Dyno in Perth , and on their "Dyno shootout day" I watched the shop flog the ring out of guy's bikes.

    Fucking brutal that was indeed.

Admittedly that was far from a "one-off" professional custom Dyno tune session , where I'm sure there's more mechanical sympathy than a "Dyno shootout day" !!

I swore that day never to have my bikes subjected to the same. Just my personal feeling.

My "butt dyno" seems pretty accurate , at least that's what I tell myself.

What I do know is that my 2008 CVO Springer grunts off all my mates with 103" stage 4 baggers and Softails and gives my mates with the 2002/2003 V-Rods a fair run.

48H has 29 inlet close, not even comparable to a 257Se cam with 48 close??? Don't know the woods figures. There seems to be a lot of cam experts here that will help you. I am sure you will get advice which conflicts. IF you want to leave the bike stock apart from pipes and filter chuck some 37 H andrews in it and get a proper , real tune . You may well get a pleasant surprise. BTW just because it is a 2 into one exhaust doesn't mean it is a good exhaust.
