Got a catalogue in the mail saying next Saturday, 8/08 Aldi are having their annual motorbike gear sale. Kevlar style jeans,gloves,helmets,Bluetooth ($59!), boots, thermal leggings,wet weather gear etc. no idea if it's any good,but the prices are great,and if you need anything and your finances are like mine,it's worth a look

 

I'll go buy some more thermals, thick on the front, thin on the back, perfect for keeping the wind off and not making you sweat.

Maybe a bananasuit too.

Anyone bought the Bluetooth headsets in the past? Any good?

Id also like to know if anyone has given the headset a crack

I've heard that the blue tooth Comms is actually pretty good which is what I want to buy as a priority. Only works with other aldi Comms units but for $60 if it works I'll be happy. And it's supposed to be easy to use. No more sign language that I need to take a piss after too many coffees once me and riding buddies get this

I ended up with a pair of motorbike socks! I kid you not, they were busy as hell, and everything I was interested in was gone in my size! Anyone end up with anything decent? Anyone score a Bluetooth?

I picked up the wind proof top and pants and also picked up the matte black full face helmet , probably the only things i would have purchased. The jeans are not that great cant be fill lined kevlar with a thick GSM rating.

the helmet , surprisingly was of great quality , i like how it has integrated sunglasses, the inner liner is very comfortable and comes with spare inner liners and a visor.

I got a couple balaclavas for the cold riding, my brother in law got one for fishing, he said they are good, I will get them in November when we ride up there (Lismore)

Picked up a couple of bike covers, socks and 2 merino thermal tops. There were still Bluetooth sets available there today!

I got two pairs of socks to add to the one pair I got at the last sale.

For me they are great for the price. Very comfortable with a good design.

My mrs went to aldi over the weekend but all i got was some bananas and peanut butter ??

this years range of products were piss weak compared to last year, I got another pair of socks they're great for winter riding as they have thicker shin material, nice and long too
they are marked left and right also so i cant fuck it up putting my socks on..haha...wtf is that all about

I was driving past Aldi and remembered this thread so went in for a look. (sunday afternoon) I think all the good stuff must have been sold. I checked out a pair of leggings that weighed about 5KG and if rolled up as tight a possible wouldn't fit in my saddlebags.I was totally unimpressed, there was a zip from ankle to knee to let you put your boots through but no liner inside the zip. I think they wanted $90 for them. I didn't buy them. Money well saved I reckon. I am with Baloffski here, I am sick of buying cheap Chinese shit. I noticed ALDI were selling Heinze baked beanz for 70c per can so I might go shopping there again

i think people must camp out near mine... last time i got in there everything was gone in an hour or two.. really was hoping to get a balaclava...i think they purposefully stock fuck all so so they can put the things into the cataloge

I bought a few items, a pair of socks which are good, a set of wets which seem okay and lashed out on a jacket for the trip south. It is much heavier than my usual jacket plus has all the armour, so far all good.

I got a couple of bike covers, socks, merino top and one of the other ones as well. Tried it out on the weekend and riding in -2 temp it kept my neck warm. The covers are good but only just fit over a Dyna.
