Got my letter in the mail today for the worldwide saddle bag recall. Bit late considering they already tried to fly off. Spoke to the guy at Peter Stevens, "we dont have parts yet..." guess the race tape and check befre every ride will have to do for a while.
Bolt them on, $5.00 job with stainless screws
My Street Glide is in now for its first service and check up, as the right bag came off last weekend. Not a great look as i was in a HOG convoy just as well the bag stayed with the bike, hooked with the speaker harnes still connected.
Have to say, that Harley have come to the party and will replace all damaged parts at no cost.
I will change the way the bags are held on, as there is no way i will ever use the factory fixing system. I couldnt go through that sinking feeling again seeing my bag dragging along the road.
I,ve got the bolts on order Pauly .
Did see on an episode of HD TV last night , that a bloke with a '15 CVO Ultra ( not Mickle ) lost his pannier , said he lost the washer and the clip came loose .
