Hi guys,
I would like to change the front wheel on my fatboy lo to a 21". I'm hoping i can get one that will match the original back wheel (matt black with buckshot holes) Does anybody know of where i could chase one down? I"m thinking i will have to get one custom made. Are there any wheel manufacturers that you can order your own design from? - Thanks
Getting a manufacturer to make one of your own design(particularly a cast one) would be prohibitively expensive. Unless money is of no concern?. You would need to first get a pattern made, then get the casting made from it, then get the casting machined etc.
You might be able to fit a breakout front wheel to your fatboy. At least the breakouts have a sensible 130mm wide tyre. Or VPW have various wheels available as do other manufacturers.
Thanks guys - yes money is an issue, thats why i was hoping just to match the front one otherwise i would buy a new set. I dont really like the look of different a front wheel. I know i can pick up a set of wire wheels fairly cheap but again i dont think they look good on a fatty. I guess im just gonna have to fork out the dough...
Can't remember the last time I looked at someone's pride and joy and thought to myself "damn.. The front wheel on that bike doesn't look quite right, it's nothing like the rear."
A Deuce being a case in point..
Agree with steelo
Sorry fellas, fucked if this site will download pics properly for me....
Now that! looks great Chriso!! And no similarity at all.
Yeah I agree with Steelo too.....to a point.
Okay it's a scooter.
Be hard to get a back wheel to match this one!
Now if we must be perdantic here....
Well, the wheels match. But something still seems odd.
Hmmm cant see the front one here.
Or perhaps one could blend the front and back into one masterpiece?
Yeah!
Double yeah!
Well the wheels match!
How about a discussion about handle bars? and the practicalities of em next? Wot?
Disclaimer. I am in no way targeting you Steelo(please don't come round swinging steel bars). Nor the Kiwi guy on another thread (trying to sell oil) who I may have insinuated had carnal knowledge of a sheep.
Just trying to put a bit of humor in the mix.
Has a daymaker in it but the headlight shell is stock. It's just the rim around it that I have changed to a wider one to give it that appearance.
