I have been persisting with cleaning the IAC every so often to get rid of the intermittent low idle>stall & odd high idle issue. Bit the bullet and bought a new one. Drives me a bit nuts as it starts perfectly fine however after a short stop starts fine but then as the idle comes down to normal 950rpm it slowly gets lower and if i dont blip the throttle will stall. If it stalls & I fire it back up its all good again. Cleaning it with CRC MAF cleaner works for about 2-3 weeks then it chucks a wobbly again....
Just want to know if there is any calibration involved. I have the 08 workshop manual which does not mention anything in the remove/replace section so going by that its a case of unscrew/unplug/remove and then the reverse. There is no mention of doing a ign on/off sequence to calibrate so am assuming its relativly a plug & play thing.
Would like to know of anyone that has done it to make sure I'm doing the right thing.
Bike is an 08 fatboy with no mods apart from slip-ons.
thanks
