Lets have a look at these two great bikes go through the twisters. Loving the Fatbob and the clearance I'm getting through the corners. You'll need to do some work on your 103 if you think you can keep up with a 1200 Sportster CA Custom. When pushed the Ground clearance on the Sportster will keep you on your toes. Perhaps you might want to get in the mix. We can make a silk purse out of a pigs ear through video editing and have a great day doing it.  Enjoy

I dig it. I'd have to say, the Fatbob owned the Sportster coming into the corners with breaking etc but the exit and straights created some distance for the Sporty. Fun to watch.

Couple of questions - was the camera mounted on your chest, and what tyres are you running on the FXDF?

Keep putting up the Fatbob vids and I will keep watching!

Thanks for that, we'll look at cutting a few more soon. In March the Stay upright coarse is on again and I'm looking forward to getting some good footage at Lakeside raceway. That Sports is a real weapon, just needs to fix the clearance issues to get the best out of it. The camera mount is the suction on the speedo, will try the chest mount again. The tyres I'm runner where on it. The dunlops where fine at first, I do believe i will need to upgrade them to a better tyre to match the upgrade in performance. The front have plenty of grip in the dry but i think it needs a bit more feel. The rear has that big lip on the edge and the back drifts out more when running on the edge and in the wet, well, they are, interesting. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts.  www.youtube.com/harleyfatboyiamwoz

Old mate on the sporty had pretty rubbish lines, yours were way better and helped you overcome the disadvantages. Good riding.

Interesting... but I suspect an XR1200 sporster wouldn't be as easy to keep up with (even though the Fatbob rider was smoother and had better lines).

A standard Fatbob would have no chance. A Fatbob with Stage 1 kit won't keep up. The Stage 2, Andrew Cam, Dual Dyno is nearly there. So I did the front sprocket upgrade. We haven't had a chance to ride again but when we do I think the Fatbob will have the edge. So really the Sportster is such good value I would be happy to have it in my garage and saved myself a bit of money as well. All it needs is the ground clearance sorted and that is a weapon.

Harley could make a combo and call it a Slobster.
