Hi there, bought my first Harley back in March - an 08 softail custom anniversary model - love riding it... Thought I would jump onto this forum as am thinking of doing a couple things to it and you all seem pretty cluey on all things Harley ...

Thanks for the welcome... Will post pic of my bike in the next couple days - front brake shit itself (tried to stop at the lights and had to stamp on the back brake as the front just let me keep going - real arse puckering feeling!) - suspect a blown seal or some such thing in the caliper, anyhow went to see RJ at C&C cycles in Dandenong, really nice guy and very helpful, walked out with new seal kit for the PM 6 pot caliper and some really useful advice, will definitely be going back there again.

Well an update, sorry haven't posted any pics yet but the front brake is really doing my head in........ Replaced all seals.... Re-bled and no good, so replaced 4 of the 6 Pistons and re-bled and the bastard is still leaking fluid... Me thinks the caliper is showing signs similar to that of a penguin having been intimate with a walrus..... Any suggestions other than a new caliper would be appreciated, as it is a performance machine 6 pot so not cheap to replace, but will if I really have to...

Hi Chris, thanks for the question, she wasn't bleeding up tight at all - reckon my dead granny could of pulled the leaver in.... Any how long story short, I bought a new 4 piston PM caliper, fitted it and now have a working front brake... Went for a short spin today and she feels really good
