Hi Guys, I am trying to find out the Standard Alternator Charge rate, for my 2011 FXST.

I have tried googling it, with no luck, Plus have looked in my Owners Manual. No mention of it.

I would appreciate if anyone knew it as trying to work out something.

Thanks for answering KiwiDave, Yeh I was just wanting to work out if my alternator could help charge another bike battery in my trailer I tow, as about to head off around Oz. This would be handy if I wanter to freecamp, I have led strip lights, and 1 of them uses 0.6amp per hour, So say running it 5 hours would use roughly 1/3 of a standard bike battery. I wanted to charge the extra battery during the day via a Cig lighter socket in trailer. If not then might have to look into those small Jump start units, to boost My Bikes battery if needed.
Just throwing things around at the moment, incase someone has done this type of thing.
    cheers

i'd have a look at a smart isolator setup like the ones piranha off road sell. Much safer than using the cig lighter as your power link between the 2 batteries.
Only limitation would be the size of it however worth a look. It will only let voltage through to your spare / aux battery when the main one reaches a certain voltage and offers spike protection which the cig lighter setup would not when going over bumps & so on.
They are not very big and for what you're after can be installed very easily & removed later on after you do your lap.
    Here is a link, http://www.piranhaoffroad.com.au/product/dual-battery-management
