Does anyone know if I can change my 21x2.15 to a 21x3.5 on a 2013 softail standard? I already know I have to change the wheel spaces but not sure if the hub on a 3.5 rim will fit between standard forks?

be sure that the brake rotor will align correctly
if the hub itself is wider it may present some problems with the caliper
if the hub is narrower you can shim it out
if its the same then fucken sweet as bro

    Yes you can.

I put a 21x3.5 rim on my standard hub. It will now take either a 120mm or 130mm wide front tyre. Best thing I have done on the bike (08 FXST). Those 90mm wide standard front tyres are just ridiculous.

Yea sweet I'm pretty confident it should fit I just wanted to get a second option.. Hopefully I'll just have to machine the wheel spacer and it will be sweet

Gidday Kurt ... As Far Canal said go for it ... feels a shit load better when you do ... just a curious question , why do you have to change the wheel spacers , if it is the same hub and you are just lacing up a wider rim then it should be the same spacers shouldn`t it .

I actually put a 21 x 3.5 Ride Wright spoked wheel on my 08 Fxstc ... no worries , same spacers as stock , heaps of room between the fork legs ... only thing you will have to do if staying with the standard front guard is use a Dermal and grind / cut out the mounting holes downwards so the guard can be lifted ... looks great ... in my opinion of course .

Gets rid of that big gap that the Softail 21 inch front wheels seem to have ... it is a close fit but have done well over 15,000 K`s with mine on and touch wood no dramas so far ... of course you could look at a different type of front guard ... should be a few out there to choose from .

Have a gander through my pics section ... there should be a pic or 2 in there somewhere that shows what it looks like .

Tim .... just read that yours is a 2013 Softy ... my apologies , not sure about the spacer issue with that model but would have thought it would be the same as mine .

No need to change spacers. If you use the stock hub.
