Hi All, looking to spend a few hours on the bike this weekend.
have done single seat conversion and flipped the mirrors already, are there any other cheap and easy mods i can get started on before i have to start spending any serious money?

    much appreciated!

Not unless it snaps and you cop it in the leg or something like that, which some people say happens, but I've had mine off for a while now (left it off after changing rear shocks) with no adverse effects.

    front guard gone
    remove countersprocket cover
    belt guard
    tank lift
    wire tuck
    coil relocate

could do that all in a day no probs.

the first 3 would be up to the owner with safety/legality concerns.

haha there is nothing legal left on my bike I'm pretty sure.

But once you follow a garbage truck and run over some ooze it leaked out with no front guard you wonder why you did it.

anywhere else to get a decent tank lift kit? the DK customs one they want $55 for which is fine, but then they want another $40 for postage which is crazy considering the size of the part. and nearly $100 for a couple pieces of metal is crazy.

when you simplify it, it's a piece of metal that just has a bolt through it.

a scrap piece of decent gauge steel, hacksaw to size, file it smooth, couple of bolts and you saved yourself $100.

CNC machine is a bit over the top for that bracket.

thanks for the comments, went to the Surfside Cafe Harley show in Sydney today and got lots of ideas for stuff i want to do.

i did a very rough (Bunnings) tank lift kit this weekend that i will improve on this week using the tools in work.
next thing on order is going to be the HD service manual, anyone kbow what the difference is between the 2 following part numbers? (as the first one is half the price of the second)
