Checked it out, I would buy that over the Georges Garage set up I have, far less complicated and you can see whats going on, might even get one myself and sell the one I have.

What cams are you gonna put in mark?

Mark if there is nothing wrong with the cam plate and pump on inspection keep ithem in there, save some coin for a good tune, my take on what you have described, check the comp and leakdown, if it's ok leave the top end be, set of Andrews 48's, S&S lifters, SE adjustables and new inner bearings, set of Redshift tensioners and a good tune will make you happy I reckon.

Sounds good mark. Dunno if your need to replace cam plate and oil pump either.
Fingers crossed you won't need to do any top end work. If just cam work, the s&s 551 or 583 are the obvious picks and pretty similar if you want the ezy start feature. Hallze has the 583 cams in his street glide with the 96 cube motor so should ask him what he reckons. Your lucky you can do the work yourself ??. I was happy with dyno tuning work at Robbos (now Canberra Harley) a few months ago. $500 from memory

I have that tool , worked good , bearings cost not much, very easy. Just needed oring and a new bolt.cams are a must.oil pumps after 06 are good. Just look at the end and make sure it's in the right spot
Done the bolt cutter job on pushrods too ,
Just the cams and a tune can get 20 ponies
Got 650 lift with stock lifters , might take a peek in the chest soon tw-408-6
The tw-555 were nice simple and quiet

Thanks for your imput lads ,,, When I'm in the cam chest , I'll check the cam plate and oil pump and see if I will reuse them, and hopefully save a few bucks on the project ,,
In the mean time, I'll get all the parts i will need , and start in a week or two ... Cheers ,,,,
