Hello, Anyone here drilled the end cap on there Vance & Hines Quiet Baffles for a better sound

I tried the quiet baffles in my big shots and lost top end power but gained a lot of low down torque.
I then removed the end caps by grinding the weld and welding stainless crimsafe type mesh over the end which gave me good low end and some more mid range power.
I have now removed the mesh which gives a bit more mid range power and a deeper sound without sounding too muffled.
Still down on power compaired to the standard baffles.
I should mention the bike is a 2012 fatboy with s&s 570 cams which was producing over 100 hp and now I think it would be under 100 hp.
Dont know if I will leave them in.

read on the net if you drill hole in the end it give good midde ground between standard and the quiets - quiets seem to muffled
