Glad you got it sorted but don't disregard getting better rear shocks and springs for the front. I went with YSS rear shocks that work great when you get them dialed in properly. I went with single rate race tech springs in the front and she definitely handles better than stock and is a much smoother ride as well.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the advice over what was a rather challenging & frustrating issue. New Shocks & fork springs are definitely on the agenda but, will have to wait a little while. Next big job (read next year some time) will be a top end refresh. She's burning a little oil so, valve seats & rings will be the next thing to get done....

I'm also eyeing off the 'bagger' trend in the US... I gotta say, I'm mildly attracted to some of the bikes I've seen but, would want to retain serious rideability; the old girl will want paint in the not too distant future so, if I was to come into some money I might consider doing something mild in the customising set...

Right now, I'm just glad to have the old girl back in fine fettle without scaring the pants off me in corners...
