Half the members on here liked the new XR1200, and half hated it. I have been sitting on the fence untill I had seen one in the flesh and sat on one. Well, at Phillip Island I fell in lust of the Orange XR1200 and have now ordered one from Peter Stevens in Adelaide. The test write-up in Australian Motor Cycle News was very possitive as well.
Peter Stevens have taken several orders for the XR1200 allready so mine wont be delivered untill early December. Can't wait.
Have to get those Termi mufflers for it.
there are some people on this forum we just hate ....
nice addition to go with the bagger hey...
Deals off, Fucken stealers.
Went in there today to sort out the accessories they were going to throw into the deal, only to be told that because it was a new model that no extra's would be thrown into the deal.
After all the fucken bikes I have bought off them, I got my deposit back.
Can't wait untill Adelaide gets a second Harley dealership.
OUCH !!!!!
Still in light of wot the Aus $$$ is doing, ya might be better off with it in ya pocket
Keep ya money these Harley dealers will be begging for ya dollars soon. I wouldn't mind one of these either.
I dunno if you would be worried about Dyna's on this baby.
Hey Lofty, I'd assumed you'd been for a ride.... From my perspective, I'm too short to be comfy. Too heavy for me to balance on one toe. But if I never had to stop or park it I'd happily have one to play on. Tonne of fun while rolling with the feet up. Lots of torque low down in the rev range, nice ride feel, nicely balanced, brakes are pretty good. Completely different feel and sound to the N. Bear in mind we didn't get over 90km/hr around the city, without any fun curves to play on, so wasn't the best test ride. Would love to put these forks with the brakes on my N as a compromise.... Sounds like there may be a few more test ride reports coming up next Saturday.
Been eyeing the XR as a replacement to my crashed Buell.
Either that or an FXR or Dyna ( or a Road king, or a Heritage !!)
Just need to wait for my broken leg to stitch properly
A few bits available now
Cheers

Just got on the SA Motor Registery site and got XR-1200 plates for it, how lucky they haven't been snapped up yet
I'm test riding one next week. I too am interested to see how they go.
What number bike are you up to now Lofty?
