Hi everyone.
Just after some recommendations or reviews on getting my chrome profile Dyna wheels (19" and 16" on my 09 FXDL powdercoated black (or heavy duty 2pak gloss) somewhere in Sydney.
Just after some prices also, I contacted Spoked Wheels and they would do it for $550 per rim (thats to pull the wheel apart, powder the rim, then relace the wheel). That price isnt too bad, but if there are cheaper options I'd look into it. Hoever I would rather pay more to get it done once the right way.
Thanks guys any help is appreciated, maybe some Forum members do this kind of work and woudl like another job.
Cheers
You're probably paying a premium getting one shop to do the whole job. You could probably save a few hundred dollars if you're prepared to do some of the easier work youself. That is, if you can remove your own wheels, cut the spokes out yourself, it's not that hard a job. When you have the rims out, you can take them to any decent powder coater. Then once powder coated you just need to get them re-laced and re-installed. It helps if you have a bike lift or stand to store the bike on while you're getting it done, if you don't then you're better off taking to a one stop shop.
